daily blatherings

I feel good! I woke up at 7.30am this morning! It’s amazing what a couple of hours laying in can do to my day. :)

Erica’s going to cook some authentic Mexican food! I can’t believe she wanted to cook some after I asked if Taco bell is kind of Mexican food. :P. I know! doh! Slaps forehead! I feel so stupid. You should have seen her shake her head after I asked. I feel bad about asking but I didn’t think she mind. Ryan laughed when I told him. :P. I am looking forward to tasting it! I can’t wait! She said it’s going to be fresh and really spicy! uh oh!

I know it’s late to get Jonathon this baby walker but I got it for him anyway because I’ve been meaning to buy one since he turned 6 months. I tried Target and Walmart but didn’t find one in those two places. Finally found one at the Burlington Factory! Woohoo! He ♥’s this thing! He spent most of his time playing with it this afternoon. He was giggling and pushing buttons. :)

Did I tell you that he is now walking? Yup. He take steps on his own and the steps are getting farther everyday, but he still wants someone around to catch him when he falls. The walker is helping. :) He is running with it! O_O. I get a funny feeling in my stomach every time he does it! Argh! I keep thinking he’s going to fall face first. Hasn’t happened yet though, so whew! *wipes forehead*

The kids and I had a very busy day today. I had two of my friends came over to the apartment this afternoon. T1 came with her kids first. She was going to bring some pandesal that she made from scratch, but something came up with the bread. It didn’t rise. She showed me the result and I can tell you that it wasn’t bad. I am not an expert in baking so I really don’t know what happened. I told her that maybe she’ll get it right next time. :) It’s so cool that she’s making pandesal!

At around 3.30p T2 came with her kid and she took us to the Mall. It was fun walking around the malls, talking and joking. The best part is that she’s into bargain shopping! Everything I bought today was 75% off! She said she doesn’t like to pay full price to anything so she’s always on the look out for 75% off. She’s good! I definitely want to go shopping with her again.

We’ve made plans to go on a girls night out soon. We plan to have dinner and a movie. I am so glad that I finally found friends here. Finally. Thanks to hubby for pushing me to go out and have fun. :)

Here is a blurry pic of Chantelle. Blurry because she was moving too fast while hunting for eggs! Easter egg hunting was fun at T’s but we had to do it inside the house because it was raining hard outside. Shame really but the kids had fun just the same. :).

I had a hiatus page up hoping that it would motivate me to make a layout. Obviously it didn’t work because here I am with the same boring layout. :P. Joke aside, I am too busy right now. Jonathon is now starting to walk, and I need to keep an eye on him every minute of the day when he’s up. He moves too fast. One minute he’s beside me then he’s on the other side the next. Sometimes I complain about it but I really shouldn’t complain. I should just be thankful that he’s up and about. :)

His bedtime routine is very good though. He sleeps really early (7pm!) so I have free time around that 7.30pm. Chantelle’s bedtime on school days hasn’t changed. Still 8pm. I am thinking of changing it to 9 now that she’s 10. She turned 10 yesterday! :)

About my personal life, I am still a stay at home mum and it’s OK for now. My husband doesn’t mind, but for my own sake I need to find a job soon. I worry about Jonathon though. I don’t want to leave him with strangers. That is the big thing that is stopping me from going to work right now.

Life is good right now. Sometimes I complain about it to my husband but to be honest with you, I really have nothing to complain about. I always remind myself that I am lucky to have this life. I have 2 wonderful kids and a loving husband who supports me no matter what. I am a lucky girl. :)
