I posted this on my friendster blog to let my friends and family in the UK and the Philippines know what’s been going on with our life. :)
Hi! It’s been awhile since I updated my friendster blog. I think the last time I posted on here was back when I was waiting to give birth to my baby boy. Well, as most of you know, I had my baby boy back in May! He is now 4 months and a few weeks old. We are so blessed to have him in our life. He is so adorable and I can’t imagine life without him. It’s hard to believe that this time last year I didn’t want to have a baby! WOW! What was I thinking?
Life has been very hectic. I suppose it was expected especially that we had a newborn and moving from state to state. Three States to be exact and within the last 3 months too (Austin TX, Oklahoma City, Mississippi)! It was very stressful and I hope to never do it again but we never know. Everything is forever changing. Nothing stays the same.
We are currently living in Mississippi, ten minutes away from the busy Memphis City where my husband works as an ATC. We live in a very quiet neighborhood and we love it here. It’s lovely. Chantelle have settled quite nicely in her new school and has already made new friends. Our neighbors are very friendly! They helped us out when we wanted to get rid of some unwanted stuff!
Anyway, I haven’t been able to explore MS that much because I don’t know how to drive. Here, you have to know how to drive to get anywhere. It’s a pain in the butt that is why I finally decided to take the theory test to get my learners permit.
I PASSED!
I am now allowed to drive with my husband on my side! You have no idea how good it felt the first time I got behind the steering wheel! It’s liberating. I only had 2 hours of driving lessons so far but I am learning a lot! I drove on a quiet road last night! It was fabulous! If I’d known that driving would make me feel this good, I would have taken driving lessons back in the UK!
So yeah, that’s what’s been happening with us! Like I said, it’s been hectic but I think we coped well with what life has thrown at us.
