One thing I enjoy being in Texas is the comfortable weather. Today we have a temperature of 65 degress! It’s comfortable and it is a perfect day to go out for a walk or to go out shopping. I also noticed that the more I am exposed to the sun the more I want to do things. I have loads of energy even though I am “very” pregnant. It was so different when I was in England. I used to drag myself to do something because it was too cold! Even Chantelle is full of energy! It’s amazing. I love living here in Texas. Everywhere I’ve been to so far is pretty. I am not sure if we’re going to stay here but I’d love to stay and settle down here. I already told Ryan that I like this place and that I am hoping we could stay here. I hope he gets hired in Austin if not then we can always come visit his parents. :P

We finally own a wii (pictures here)! We wanted one when we were still in England, but the BX was always out of stock. It’s been our mission to get our hands on one since we got here but we had no luck! No luck until yesterday that is! The sales guy from Conns called Ryan yesterday morning to tell us that they had a wii available and if we hurry he will hold it for us for an hour! Geez Louise! Ryan had to quickly take a shower and drove to Conns. Yesterday, CF had a blast with her dad and FIL! It was so much fun watching them play. I am going to practice and play today. I am gonna try and work up a sweat! I am so glad we got one. :)

I should have worn my snoopy red top today but I was too lazy to get dressed. Hehehe. I am such a slob! Anyhow, I got tagged by the lovely Girlie. Here are the rules:

That was me before I found out I was pregnant. I wore it to attend a birthday party back in England. I think it’s was Kathy’s friends party. I don’t know why I decided to wear red that day.

Today we went to get my temporary driving license in Georgetown, but I found out I can’t apply for one until I have my green card. I am a little disappointed because I really want to start learning how to drive. I feel like I am stuck here even though Ryan takes me to places that I want to go to. It’s like I don’t have the freedom that I had when I was in the UK. Everything in England was close by, and there were buses that came and go every hour in Bury St Edmunds or every 15 minutes in Guildford.

As for learning how to drive, I guess all I’ll have to wait for my green card. Sucks. I also can’t open a US bank account because I don’t have my SSN yet. Ugh… I just want to get things started around here.

Anyhow, we tried to go to Barnes and Noble today, but couldn’t because I stayed too long at Tjmaxx (whoops!). I was only meant to look around for a few minutes, but ended up staying for an hour (whoops again!). By the time I was done, it was time to pick Chantelle up. We could have gone after we picked her up from school, but she had a project that is due tomorrow, so we couldn’t go. Thank God it’s Friday tomorrow! Whew! I am tired of homework.

I want to go to Walgreens too! I wanna check what they have in there, and I want to go back to H.E.B plus! Ryan calls it the madhouse. He can’t stand being there because it’s so busy, but I love it! I love busy places. I think I am going to make a checklist of the malls and places I want to go to. That way we are able to plan our day without getting distracted by other things. :D
